Vanessa Alvarez was already struggling in her traditional high school when she learned she was pregnant at just 14 years old. At Learn4Life she was able to bring her son to school and have the flexibility she needed, which helped her to graduate early. She went on to college to earn a multiple subject teaching credential and now works as a HOPE (Helping Our Parenting-teens Excel) teacher at Learn4Life, where she works directly with other pregnant and parenting teens.
