Learn4Life students recently competed in the world’s largest youth poetry slam, The 8th Annual Classic Slam hosted by Get Lit – Words Ignite; this is what Arts Education looks like in the 21st century. These youth have amazing impact!
Learn4Life Alumni Tyris Winter and current student Joddie Ovalle of “The Scratch Team” poetry troupe were named the 2019 champions, and SLAM4Life’s Antelope Valley Team took third (3rd) place out of nearly 40 statewide teams!
Nine (9) SLAM4Life regional teams competed in this 3-day event, marking 2019 as Learn4Life’s fourth consecutive year of participation.
